Building Versatility’s 2024 plans and business updates

As we reflect on the past few months, the support we’ve received from our Southern Highlands clients has been nothing short of heart-warming. It has propelled us into new and exciting projects that keep us on our toes.

Shop renovation in Berrima

If you’ve strolled through Berrima, chances are you’ve admired the charming building adjacent to the Surveyor General Inn, distinguished by its heritage features and striking black-and-white striped awnings. For years, No. 28 Old Hume Highway has been the beloved home of the Magpie Café, a local favourite. Now, Building Versatility has been entrusted with the task of orchestrating a full internal renovation of the three western shops.

Our mission? To breathe new life into this cherished space while preserving its character and history. From crafting a state-of-the-art kitchen and expanding the dining area for the Magpie Café to meticulously restoring the timber parquetry flooring and integrating essential amenities like new bathroom facilities and disability access ramps, every detail has been carefully considered. Our client’s eagerness to minimize business disruption for their tenants has fueled our determination to deliver swift and efficient results.

Already, we’ve completed the renovation of the third shop within a remarkable three-week timeframe, allowing the tenant to commence their fitout promptly. While the café’s more intricate transformation may take a bit longer, we’re committed to ensuring that patrons can soon return to savouring their favourite coffee and meals in the beautifully renovated and expanded Magpie Café.

Home renovations in Robertson

Beyond our current endeavours, our team is hard at work preparing estimates for two significant home renovation and extension projects in Robertson. Despite the challenges posed by rising construction costs, we remain dedicated to providing our clients with cost-effective solutions that don’t compromise on quality or design.

Our estimating process includes identifying and recommending changes in construction methods and materials that can deliver significant cost savings without compromising the design and vision for the project, and our clients are really appreciating and embracing these suggestions.

By fostering open collaboration and communication, we empower our clients to make informed decisions and optimise the efficiency of their projects. And, through our cost-plus construction structure, we offer transparency and flexibility, allowing for informed decisions as the project evolves. Our clients are empowered to make adjustments and optimisations along the way, ensuring that their vision is brought to life efficiently and effectively.
